We are so excited you chose to stay with us. This page will have helpful information for you throughout your stay.

Hello!

Hi! We're the Horton's! We bought Villa Blue in 2019 and since then it's created so many memories for us and our two kids. When we're here, it has a special feel that's laid back, bright and cheery - like home away from home.

 

We hope you enjoy Villa Blue like we do - it's been an absolute dream come true for us. Enjoy exploring Port Aransas and making wonderful memories. If there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable, please do not hesitate to let us know!

How to Get Here

Plan ahead on how you're going to arrive to Port Aransas as the ferry can have wait times. Our address is: 301 E Avenue C #7, to help with finding the correct route, here is a map for directions: https://maps.app.goo.gl/mN9FkcQhFPkHxYLV7

Check-in Information

Check-in Time: 4:00pm

  • At least 24 hours prior to your arrival, you should receive a communication on the door codes for Villa Blue. 

  • Upon your arrival, please contact us immediately if you encounter any cleaning or maintenance issues, or if anything is unsatisfactory. Please also inspect the golf cart. We want to ensure your comfort and satisfaction during your stay. 

Information on the House

Parking - Parking for up to 3 cars is available in front of Villa Blue. Please park your vehicle in the designated parking spaces. If no spaces are available, please park on the street. Please be respectful of our neighbors. To avoid inconvenience to others, do not block the street or other vehicles at any time. Boats, RV’s, campers, or trailers are not permitted unless communicated ahead of time. Offending vehicles will be towed at owner’s expense.

PLEASE NOTE: If you will be parking a vehicle at the beach, you MUST have a beach parking permit that can be purchased at the IGA. 

WiFi - Unfortunately, WiFi blackouts can happen time to time in Port Aransas. If you are having connection issues, please let us know and we can troubleshoot the best that we can.

TV's - All of our TV's are equipped with Smart TV apps. Please ensure you log out of your apps on the TV's upon your departure. 

The living room TV has a cable box. We use Spectrum TV for all cable, please feel free to use. NOTE: All TV's in the bedrooms have the Spectrum App and are logged into Spectrum. Please click on that to access live television. 

Linens & Laundry - Extra towels are located in each bathroom. Please do not remove towels from the premises. Extra blankets are located in the closets. An iron and ironing board are located in one of the bedroom closets. The main floor has a brand new washer and dryer for you to use throughout your stay. Please remember to shake out clothes of sand prior to washing. 

Trash - Trash bins are located outside by the parking area. Please help us out by moving the trash bins to the road on Tuesdays and Fridays.  


Thermostats/Temperature Control - This unit has one digital thermostat located on the 2nd floor to the left of the blue barn door in the hallway. Guests can override this program by adjusting the thermostat to their desired temperature. Please note that drastically increasing or decreasing the thermostat, for example, increasing the heat by 10 degrees or decreasing the cooling by 10 degrees, will cause the system to not work properly and  may shut off. We recommend changing the heat/cool settings with gradual increases for best use. 

In warmer months, please increase the thermostat to 75°F upon your departure.

Candles - Please do not burn candles, with the exception of birthday candles. Fireworks are also not allowed. 

Grilling - This house comes equipped with two charcoal grills. Please ensure that the flames and coals are properly extinguished before being left unsupervised. 

Fire Extinguisher - Fire extinguishers are located in the kitchen lower cabinet to the left of the sink and upstairs in the main bedroom closet behind the entry door. 

CO2 Detectors - This home is equipped with carbon monoxide detectors. If an alarm goes off, please do not tamper with it. Instead, exit the home immediately and call 911. The sound will be different than a smoke detector. Carbon monoxide is an odorless and deadly gas, so please do not remain in the home. 

Security - Please remember to lock all doors and windows each time you leave the home.

Prepare for your Stay

Supplies - A stock of basic guest supplies is provided to start off your stay including shampoo, conditioner, body wash. We also provide hand soap, dish soap, dish detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, coffee filters, salt and pepper, and trash bags. Bring your own spices to add some flavor for your dishes. Anything else can be purchased at our local grocery stores. Please refer to the “Places to Eat” page on our website for locations and addresses.

Amenities that we have: 

  • Wireless charges for phones, airpods, and iwatches in all bedrooms

  • Luggage racks in all bedrooms

  • Extension cords for CPAP/Oxygen in all bedrooms

  • Overhead fans and portable fans in each bedroom

  • Hair dryers in every bathroom

  • Extra pillows and blankets

  • For kids: High chair, kids cups, plates and utensils, beach toys, jolly jumper, and 2 pack n plays (please bring your own crib sheet)

  • Board games

  • Cleaning products

  • Dedicated workspace - desk, chair, lamp and surge protector

  • Beach toys, beach towels, beach chairs, and coolers. We cannot ensure that they are all 100% functional, we ask that if broken, please let us know. ​

  • Outdoor shower

  • Ice Maker

  • Golf cart - included with your stay (beach permit parking included)

  • Kitchen is fully stocked, including: new cookware, 12-cup coffee maker and Keurig, Blender, Toaster, Frother, Fry Daddy, Air Fryer, Crockpot, Large stock pot for shrimp boils, utensils, cookie sheets, cutting boards, and so much more. 

  • Pet food and water bowl

Shipping - Guest packages can be mailed to this home. However, we are not responsible for anything that arrives before or after your departure. If you need something delivered and want to ensure it’s arrival, please contact us.

Safety & Rules

Parties - There are NO parties allowed

Occupancy - The maximum number of guests approved to occupy this property is 12 persons (which includes children 2+). Additional guests are not permitted due to licensing requirements.

Noise - Please be mindful of the neighbors and keep noise levels and music to a minimum, especially between 10pm and 8am. Be especially mindful of noise levels while enjoying the outdoor seating areas and the pool.

Firearms - No firearms (permitted or not) or fireworks. 

Smoking/Vaping/Drug Use - We strictly prohibit smoking, vaping, the use of tobacco, cannabis, vapor devices, and illegal drugs.  Violating these rules may result in a $500 fine, and you may be asked to vacate the property. 

Pets - This home is pet friendly with a fee of $20.00 + tax per pet. A maximum of 1 pet is allowed and must be pre-approved by us first. Pets cannot be on furniture or beds and must be on leash in common areas. Pets are not allowed in or around the community pool. Please ensure there is not excess pet hair on floors.  Also, make sure there is no "mess," in the front area and all pet droppings are picked up from grassy area.  An extra $50 pet hair cleaning fee may be incurred if cleaners report and charge us for excessive pet hair as it increases their cleanup time to properly clean for the next guests. **Unannounced/unpaid pets will incur a $500 charge and possible eviction so ensure if you are bringing a pet, that you select the pet fee option at booking.**

Check-Out Details

Check-out: 11:00pm

Please ensure that you have packed all of your belongings, and leave the property by 11:00am so we can ensure the next guest receives a proper cleaning. Late check-outs will result in additional charges. 

  • Load and start the dishwasher

  • Refrigerator emptied

  • Fold down the comforters that were used. Please do not strip

  • Place all used towels on the bathroom floor

  • Dispose of trash bins, located close to the driveway. Please move bins to the road on Tuesdays and Fridays​

  • Turn off all lights, fans, TVs, and make sure you're logged out of any apps on the Smart TVs

  • Lock all windows and doors

  • Ensure golf cart is washed off, keys on the coat hook, full tank of gas (regular, unleaded ONLY) and pictures of any damages or issues sent to us

  • If you use the BBQ grill, please make sure it’s clean, and please do not put hot coals in the trash can.  There is an additional fee ($50) if it’s left a mess. 

  • Please return all beach items in clean condition so we can continue providing this as an amenity to other guests. Use beach towels only at the beach. 
     

Lost & Found - If you happen to leave any personal belongings behind and you would like us to retrieve and ship them to you, we are happy to do so within 14 days after your departure. There will be a $25 fee, in addition to the cost of packaging and shipping. Please notify us as soon as you notice something was left behind.
